Accomplishments

While serving our district, TCWD has achieved numerous milestones that reflect our commitment to providing safe, reliable, and cost-effective water services. Together, we’ve successfully reduced the second year of proposed rate increases and led the charge against placing any fees on property tax bills. We’ve saved customers money by reducing healthcare costs and aligning employee contributions with neighboring agencies. Additionally, we re-wrote the District's expenditure policy to eliminate loopholes, demanded refunds for questionable expenditures, and supported SB 366 to improve water reliability and affordability for the future.

Accomplishments as President/Director:

• Prevented the five-year rate adjustments from being implemented without coming back to the Board every year in a public meeting, before any implementation can occur

• Reduced the second year of proposed rate increases

• Led the vote against any fees being placed on property tax bills

• Saved customers money by ensuring health care costs were reduced and employee contributions were consistent with surrounding agencies.

• Re-wrote and strengthen the District’s expenditure policy to remove loopholes and reduce costs

• Required refunds back to the District for any questionable expenditures

• Supported and sponsored SB 366, which will help improve water reliability and affordability into the future
